โPattern from historyโ posts were born when my lovely grandmother gave me all (well, almost all) of her old pattern sheets with old knitting patterns. And it was many. She collected those years and years and I think itโs a fantastic reflection of knitting history of our little country.
These patterns are charted, without pictures and full of mistakes, so I took my mission to knit all of them through, make a written instructions and take a proper picture.

If I’m totally honest here, then I have been neglecting this pattern. I’m sure you know the feeling when you look at the pattern and feel bored. And you haven’t even knitted the thing yet.
It was yesterday when I thought I would give it a try. I just felt guilty for favoring other patterns. And now I feel even more guilty.
I knitted two pattern repeats and check that out. I love how the edges of the pattern repeats are forming these triangles. Not really that boring than I thought…

Lovely pattern. Thank you very much for sharing. I agree that this is a simply and elegant pattern. Also is versatile and could be a border or trim for a sweater and certainly would make a lovely shawl, wrap or scarf., shawl
I didn’t even think about the border option. That’s a good idea, thanks ๐
