So, does lace knitting use more yarn? After thinking of my experience and browsing through knittingparadise.com I can say that it depends on the lace stitch pattern, but most of the time you will actually need less yarn. It might feel this way because of larger needles and blocking, but “yarn over”s really take a bit less than other stitches.
We can’t say this about “nupps” though…
