Knitting 101: How to knit 3 from 3 │ Cobweb Stitch │ Pattern Duchess

Cobweb stitch or knitting 3 from 3 is a very common technique in Estonian lace knitting. It will give your lace shawls this beautiful and intricate cobweb pattern. Also, it can be used to form magnificent life-like flowers or use it as an edging decor.

STEP 1

Knit 3 stitches together (don’t slip them off your left-hand needle)

STEP 2

Make a yarn over

STEP 3

Knit these same 3 stitches together, once more.

STEP 4

Take your left-hand needle off.

NEXT ROW OR ROUND

Follow instructions and work on like ordinary stitches.
